As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in transforming financial management with cutting-edge technology while leading a team of bookkeepers. In this role, you will use cloud-based tools to seamlessly handle client financial data, optimize processes, and deliver real-time, accurate financial insights.

    What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

    • Complete weekly, monthly, and other recurring tasks as for assigned clients
    • Review and remit weekly payments for clients
    • Assist with new client onboarding Assist junior bookkeepers with questions and training as needed
    • Review month-end work for junior bookkeepersHelp maintain and improve Karbon workflows for your clients
    • Communicate directly with clients on a weekly basis
    • Other ad-hoc duties as required

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Preferred: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
    • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or comparable roles within US-based, Canadian, or Australian contexts. 
    • A minimum of 3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience, including 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
    • Proficiency in the use of Quickbooks Online, spreadsheets, and other cloud-based platforms
    • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail for accurate financial data management
    • Friendly demeanor - internally and externally
    • Professional experience with remote/virtual work environment
    • Strong sense of urgency/deadline & priority driven
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction

Onboarding Accounting Specialist (2)

This role will be focusing on the Short-Term Rental (STR) Property Manager segment of our business with the goal of providing a great initial experience with our company to new clients and delivering their file to our production team with clean books and a fully functioning software environment. Keystone Bookkeepers offers strategic and operational support to property managers in the short-term rental space, including bill pay, owner statements, and trust accounting. The company is seeking an experienced client-facing bookkeeper, who is looking for a new challenge in a flexible, full-time role.

  • What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

    • Lead client engagement during the onboarding phase.
    • Request and organize initial financial data from new clients. This typically includes access to the following data: accounting software, banking and credit card data, and other industry specific software (e.g. Airbnb, VRBO, Stripe).
    • Setup and link all banking, credit card, payroll, etc. software inside of client’s QBO.
    • Configure short-term rental-specific bookkeeping software (VR Platform).
    • Cleanup of client’s financial records, which may involve catch-up/clean-up bookkeeping tasks such as refining balance sheets and conducting precise bank account reconciliations.
    • Customize recurring weekly and monthly workflows as needed and hand off client to production staff.
    • Recommend improvements and consistencies in the STR bookkeeping workflows across Keystone’s clients.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
    • Extremely well-organized and detail-oriented. Loves being in the details to make sure the complete picture is captured.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
    • Experience working with QuickBooks Online – Pro Advisor a plus.
    • Previous experience with a bookkeeping/accounting firm in a client-facing role.
    • Comfortable with technology and learning new software.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable leading call/zoom with new clients.
    • Loves a checklist and driving tasks across the finish line.
    • Effective communication - able to explain complex concepts in simple, easy-to-follow terms.
    • Customer friendliness - enjoy helping others and working collaboratively to reach a solution.
